Review

Rebecca Musser shares her experiences with the FLDS, the Fundamentalist Church of Latter-Day Saints, an extreme polygamist sect of the Mormon faith.  She became the 19th wife of 85 year old, Prophet Rulon Jeffs.  After years of abuse, she escapes from the culture she truly believed in.  She set out to become the "voice" for all the voiceless victims trapped in that culture.  She testified against cult leaders and sent some members to prison. Prophet Warren Jeffs, Rulon's son, was given a life sentence.

This book is about the courage of one woman who wore  "Red" to court as a symbol of "freedom in choice, " and "triumph over tyranny."  It is an emotional read, down the road from slavery to perseverance, and strength to healing.
