November is Indigenous People’s Heritage Month, which aims to honor the culture and traditions as well as the long and powerful history of the first inhabitants of the United States. It’s a celebration of the diversity and resilience of Indigenous nations and people. Denver, Colorado is the traditional territory of the Ute, Cheyenne and Arapaho people. There are forty-eight contemporary tribal nations with historical ties to the lands that make up the state of Colorado.
