Michael Thornton will be bringing beautiful glass pieces and teaching us techniques for how to create artwork with it. What colors will you choose? Projects will be delivered to the Byers Branch Library two weeks after the program (on Monday, December 16). Please remember to pick up your project!

You are invited to learn about and celebrate Kwanzaa. Come and watch a performance and after kids will make a Kwanzaa Kinara.

The word "Kwanzaa" comes from the Swahili phrase "matunda ya kwanza," meaning "first fruits." Kwanzaa begins on December 26 and ends with a communal feast called the Karamu on January 1.
Kwanzaa is a seven-day holiday that celebrates Family, Community and Culture. The seven days of Kwanzaa match the seven principles celebrated.
