You and your family are invited to join us every third Saturday of the month for art and literacy activities hosted by the Chicano Humanities and Arts Council (CHAC), a collective of artists dedicated to promoting Chicano/Latino art and culture. On Saturday, August 17, we will explore the life and self-expression of Frida Kahlo. Become inspired and create your own self portrait, incorporating a variety of techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, and writing.
Stories, songs, and rhymes for babies and their parents or caregivers. Playtime and socialization immediately follow the program. This storytime is geared toward babies who are not yet walking. Bring your iPad and your creativity and become a filmmaker! Participants will learn tips and techniques to make great movies. Learn to write scripts and storyboards, direct, perform, film and produce movies. The end product will be uploaded to You Tube!
Children 4th through 6th grade may participate. There is a limit of 5- 8 children. There will be four 2-hour sessions during one week. Children must be able to attend all sessions. Please call 720-865-1020 to register.
