Do you write poems, stories, blogs, comics, essays, comics, songs, limericks? Join us for the Schlessman Summer of Reading Teen Writing group, where we will talk about writing--ours, yours, everyone’s. Instead of critiquing or “correcting,” we will focus on questioning ourselves about how we write and exploring our writing! It doesn’t matter if you’re at the beginning, middle or end of your project, you just have to be able to talk about it!

Decorate a blank CD with holographic materials, raised glow-in-dark paint & vinyl #'s. Once decorated, you will assemble the working parts of the clock! - battery holder, wall hanger & clock hands. Connecting Vecinos is proud to present artist and educator Javier Flores. After a short artist talk, Javier will lead us through the history and process of monotype printmaking. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to make your own monotype print.
Please bring a few images or photographs to reference when creating your unique monotype design.
All ages are welcome and we encourage the entire family to participate. There is no cost to attend. Please note that participation is limited to 20 people on a first come, first served basis.
