Thursday, August 15, 1:30 p.m.

How do you like to spend your free time? What have you been dying to learn or try? Tell us what you're interested in and we'll see what we can do!
Colorado has some pretty amazing local authors and we're proud to share them with you. Join us this week to hear excerpts of their writing and participate in lively discussions.
Local favorite, Wayne Omura, will discuss his latest book, Zen Foot-Notes: Upon the Unknown Passage. It's a "metaphysical-mystical mountain climbing adventure symbolic of our journey through life." Join us Wednesday, July 24 at 6 p.m. at the Ross-Cherry Creek Branch.
Your tomatoes are ripening - you're harvesting your parsley - you just picked up some fresh rhubarb from the farmer's market. Now what are you going to make with all your delicious goodies? We've got some great cooking programs coming up that will give you lots of new ideas!
Make sure you have a good plan for all your fresh food so that nothing goes to waste. Join us at the Ross-Cherry Creek Branch as Jennie Sanford shows us meal planning tips and tricks that will revolutionize the way you prepare meals for your family! You'll have a better understanding of the different ways to make a meal plan, how to make your meal planning successful, and cooking strategies and shortcuts to help you spend less time in the kitchen.
Not only are they fun to make for yourself, but crafts make great gifts too! Here are a few of the great craft programs taking place at a branch near you! Most of these events required registration, so give us a call and get your craft on!
At Fresh City Life, we don't always sit around and think up amusing and diverting things for you to do. Sometimes in between thinking up amusing and diverting things for you to do, we go and do amusing and diverting things with you. You should've been there yesterday for our road trip to the Central City Opera.
6/22/13 -- Trish and I met our fellow road trippers in the garden of the Central City Opera. Then we crossed the street to the Williams' Stables where the apprentice performers were working on arias and making beautiful music. It is so fun to be inside the stable (which really is a former horse and carriage stable); the interior is loaded with old hand-painted signs advertising productions from the 30s and 40s with stars like Mae West and Helen Hayes.
Camp Gitchacrafton entertained over 200 campers on Wednesday, June 19 and is poised to become our newest annual event.
We partied like it was 1973 and everyone needed a new lanyard. Yep, at our craft party celebrating Etsy's international night of crafting, Fresh City Life hosted four crafting workshops -- lanyards, friendship bracelets, decorated postcards and ceramics.
