Aphex Twin

Richard D. James, AKA Aphex Twin, is one of the most celebrated and influential electronic musicians of all time. Since the release of his earliest EPs in 1991, James has constantly pushed the limits of what can be accomplished with electronic equipment. Collapse EP has been described as "music for Mad Max's post-apocalyptic parties” it contains "dense bursts of intricate glitch to expansive, ambient soundscapes" which makes it feel like a "more elaborate musical journey than its mere five tracks."

Arca

The experimental electronic album Arca is the third studio album by Venezuelan musician Arca. It is the first studio album to feature lead vocals by Arca, sung in her native language of Spanish. The use of her voice on the new album was inspired by collaborator and friend, Björk.

Daft Punk

Random Access Memories is the fourth and final studio album from French electronic music duo Daft Punk. RAM combines elements of house music with funk, disco, techno, rock, and synth-pop and features one of the best-selling digital singles of all time, "Get Lucky." The track "Giorgio by Moroder," features a monologue from influential disco producer and composer Giorgio Moroder discussing how he created the “sound of the future” with synthesizers and emerging electronic technology. On the album’s title, Daft Punk said, "We were drawing a parallel between the brain and the hard drive–the random way that memories are stored."

Flying Lotus

Steven Ellison, AKA Flying Lotus, is an inventive producer who has synthesized hip-hop, experimental electronic music, and avant-garde jazz. Flamagra, Flying Lotus’ sixth album, was inspired by a story heard at a party, told by surrealist director David Lynch. This developed into the track, "Fire Is Coming," featuring a vignette by Lynch. Flamagra also features such luminaries as George Clinton, Anderson .Paak, Little Dragon, Tierra Whack, Denzel Curry, Shabazz Palaces, Thundercat, Toro y Moi, and Solange.

Indie electronic artist Kieran Hebden, AKA Four Tet, blends organic and electronic sounds, having earned widespread acclaim from critics and fans of electronic music as well as indie rock. Four Tet is influenced by a wide range of genres and his compositions are generally abstract yet melodically and tonally rich; often combining glitchy electronics with acoustic instrumentation.

Gorillaz, the virtual, cartoon music group, led by Blur singer Damon Albarn, with visuals by Tank Girl illustrator Jamie Hewlett, blend Brit-pop, hip-hop, disco, new wave, and "yacht soul" on their sixth studio album. The Now Now has been praised for its stripped-down lyrical and musical simplicity, as compared to previous efforts, and features guest appearances by Jamie Principle and Snoop Dogg.

Jlin

Black Origami is the second album by American producer Jlin, it features collaborations with William Basinski, Holly Herndon, Fawkes, and Dope Saint Jude. The title refers to the structure of the music: the songs are complex pieces that take advantage of silence as much as sounds, similar to how an origami makes intricate art based on plain paper. Informed by ballet and contemporary dance in addition to more club-oriented dance styles, this electronic music album has been praised for the diversity of its percussion sounds, which "range from marching bands, to gongs, to tablas."
