The Denver Public Library takes great pride in designing programs and services for the unique neighborhoods and communities that each of our branch libraries serves. As part of these efforts, the library undertakes wide-ranging community engagement efforts, reaching out to the greater Denver community to discover its aspirations, concerns and needs. The library uses this information to guide its strategic work and to be responsive to the needs of the communities and customers it serves.
Denver Public Library has a team in place to continue these efforts, hosting additional community conversations, working with City agency and community partners, and engaging customers and community members to share ideas, concerns and actions that will move Denver forward. Community engagement at the Denver Public Library is not simply a project with an end goal and a deadline. Instead, it is a continuous process of listening to and learning from our community and empowering Denver, its neighborhoods and communities, to thrive.
