Program Description

Event Details

Vyshyvanka Day is an international holiday that aims to preserve the Ukrainian folk traditions of creating and wearing ethnic embroidered shirts called Vyshyvankas. Join us for this very fun and informative program where you will learn about one of the Ukrainian embroidery styles, Brodivska, that is used to code letters and figures into the piece to spell out coded messages. You will have a chance to create your own design digitally and then apply that image to a white shirt using our sublimation printer and a heat press. Shirts and all other materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if desired. This workshop is designed for adults, children 12 and older must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited to the first 10 attendees.
