Program Description

Event Details

Caregiving can be so many things -- challenging, exhausting, beautiful, meaningful, and complicated. The better you take care of yourself, the better the experience will be for both you and the person you are caring for.

In this class, you will learn the skills and tools you need to better care for yourself as a caregiver. Over six class sessions, you will learn about important self care behaviors, how to manage difficult emotions, how to increase your confidence as a caregiver, and how to effectively use community resources.

We ask that participants be present for at least four of the six sessions.

The session dates are: March 12, March 19, March 26, April 2, April, 9, and April 16.

This class is being offered by Erin Kilmurray of the Denver Regional Council of Governments.

Eligible participants might receive free respite care for their care partner. The respite care is being managed by DRCOG.

The class is free, but registration is required by calling 303-480-5656 or emailing caregiversvcs@drcog.org.
