To kick off the Kwanzaa festivities and celebrate the first principle, Umoja (Unity), we're diving into an exciting presentation with Friends of Joda and Sarah Graham, Creator and Social Justice Curriculum Expert. Through interactive activities, we'll embark on a journey to explore the essence of unity within our communities. Sarah Graham uses her lived experience and intersectionalities as a Fat, Black, Queer Woman to create culturally responsive curriculum that challenges systems of oppression. She asks, "just think about which one of my identity words made you uncomfortable; how can we use that initial feeling to reflect on our own unconscious bias? Even in this one moment, there is a lesson to be learned, and through that learning we can liberate our minds thus our world." She is an expert content writer with an emphasis on Social Justice.
