Runner Up: Wool by Hugh Howey, championed by Christa and Ryan Kilpatrick
Celebrate Winter of Reading with a virtual evening for book lovers! We'll talk books with James Mustich, author of 1,000 Books to Read Before You Die, the compulsively readable, entertaining, and surprising book that celebrates the greatest books of all time, from Harold and the Purple Crayon to the works of Shakespeare to sci-fi classics like Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? There’s something for every reader. Each of our five local luminaries will battle to advocate for their favorite books, vying for the hearts and minds of the audience members (you!). The audience will then vote to name the champion.
Our panel of literary gladiators includes local author and New York Times editors pick, Erika T. Wurth, Denver Council member (District 9) Darrell Watson, the Interim manager of Focus Points of COMAL Heritage Food Incubator, Senyabou Sohai local leader and founder of the Chicano Arts Movement Carlos Santistevan, and the owners of Fiction Beer Company Christa & Ryan Kilpatrick.
Registration is required below. Please note, this event is 6:00-7:00 PM MT/8:00-9:00 PM ET. This event will be hosted on Zoom, and you'll receive an email the day before the event with the link to join.
If you have not received a link, this one will go live 5:45 pm on January 19 - https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83580513120
