DPL is happy to bring back Lucky Day DVDs at 10 locations this year, thanks to funding from Strong Library, Strong Denver supported by the Denver Public Library Fund!
Lucky Day DVDs are extra copies of some popular titles (like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) that check out for 7 days and are non-holdable/non-renewable. You can return them to any branch. They’re meant to be a pleasant surprise when you go into a participating location and can pick up a title that has a long hold list - no waiting!
New Lucky Day titles are added most every month, based on new DVD release dates. After three months, Lucky Day copies will become part of the regular DVD collection. We are limiting Lucky Day titles to DVD format, only (no Blu-ray at this time).
