Crafting Magic in Celebration of National Sewing Month

September is National Sewing Month and we want to help you celebrate!

All ideaLAB Makerspaces, which are free for all-ages, have sewing machines, hand sewing supplies, and fabric to get you started on a project. Most importantly, there are always friendly and helpful staff who can guide you through how to mend a tear, how to read a pattern, or even help you make sense of how to thread that old sewing machine that has been gathering dust in your closet. If you are new to ideaLABs, check out our website (denverlibrary.org/idealab) to learn more about where they are located, when they are open, and what tools are available.

We are offering a variety of in-person sewing programs at different ideaLAB locations all September long that are free for the community. Feel free to check out more details about those events on our events calendar at: denverlibrary.org/events/upcoming?keywords=sewing

Our helpful and crafty librarians have put together a curated list of some fantastic sewing-related books available for checkout to learn more or try a new projects.

If you want to practice sewing from home, watch video courses through Craftsy and Craftsy en español using your library card and the Libby app, or you can watch sewing videos on our YouTube channel:
