Learn about the history of henna and practice henna tattoos! Then have a henna design applied to your hand or arm! For grades 6-12. Limited to 25 teens. No registration is required.

Make Your Own Quartz CD Wall Clock / Usa un CD para hacer un reloj de cuarzo de pared

Decorate a blank CD with holographic materials, raised glow-in-dark paint & vinyl #'s. Once decorated, you will assemble the working parts of the clock! - battery holder, wall hanger & clock hands. Each teen will leave with a "working" CD Wall Clock that does function! (Not included: 1 small battery) For grades 6-12. Limited to 20 teens. No registration is required.

Get ready for "Seven Boxes of Terror", a program for teens like no other you have ever seen before! It's like stories around the campfire - jumping at shadows and being scared out of your wits. But in this program the stories happen right in front of you, and some cases they actually happen TO YOU. It's too much fun. Be there!
Rated PG - 6th grade and up. No registration is required.

Wednesday Plazas will concentrate on art projects for all ages, but specifically designed for teens and adults. Some past projects include painting along with an instructor, paper flower crafting, or making jewelry. No art experience is necessary! If you need computer access and/or help to apply for a job, type your resume, study for a test (such as the GED), learn a language, research health information, or do homework, then this is also the place for you.

"Mother, Mother! will feature multicultural art work from local community artists and Washington, DC, including SA Bennett, Randy McAnulty, Kiyasha Newson, Helen Littlejohn, Arlette Lucero, Stevon Lucero, Ella Maria Ray, Ron Hicks, Rob Yancey and others. All art will feature representations of the Madonna--Mother and Child.
