Diorama Closeups with Denver Museum of Nature & Science: Meet an Historical Enactor

Rediscover the famous Denver Museum of Nature & Science dioramas! In this special edition of Diorama Closeups, we’ll meet with one of the Museum’s historical enactor characters, ‘Mrs. Kearns’ who lived in Leadville in the early 1900s. Using the dioramas as a backdrop, she’ll share stories of moving to Colorado from Nebraska, and all the colorful details of the wildlife, landscapes, and people that filled her world. Hold and explore everyday objects from life in turn-of-the-century Colorado and enjoy a chance to share your own family stories from the time. In this program, we’ll move between three nearby dioramas with places to sit down as we explore each one.

Registration is required, register below.

Doors open at 2:00 p.m. with a ½ hour to enjoy some social time and begin exploring objects and dioramas informally. The group presentation will be 1 hour, beginning at 2:30p.m. Details on location will be available upon registration.
