Join Downtown Bookies monthly book discussion celebrating Black History Today with the book, The Souls of Black Folk by W. E. B. Du Bois. The discussion will be led by special guest, Dr. Reiland Rabaka, Founder and Director of the Center for African & African American Studies and Professor of African, African American, and Caribbean Studies in the Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Participants will receive a discount code for Amoako Boafo: Soul of Black Folks on display through February 18, 2024. 

This is a hybrid program with options to attend in person or participate online. Registration required for in person* attendance only due to limited seating.  Registration not required for virtual program.

*There is no charge for free days at the DAM. Arrive early to enjoy general admission access. Cultural Center Complex Garage provides hourly parking for a fee. 

Downtown Bookies Group meets the second Tuesday of every month and reads an eclectic selection of books including fiction, non-fiction and the occasional classic.
