Documentary that captures the singers and songwriters who comprised the outlaw country movement, an emergent new style of country music that eschewed the traditional Nashville sound. Through embracing folk, blues and rock music, these musicians changed the course of not only country music but American music at large, by embracing its foundational musical roots.
