The Central Library ideaLAB is open year-round, and our open lab hours are all ages. We are located on the southwest end of the 4th floor in the Community Technology Center.
Our open lab hours are:
- Sunday: Equipment Reservation Only 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Monday - Thursday: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Closed Friday and Saturday
Available Equipment
For specialized equipment like 3D printers, laser cutters, embroidery machines, and recording studio- we recommend calling ahead to reserve your time slot. Reservations are limited to 2 hours, once per week, to ensure equitable access.

Bambu Lab P2S 3d Printer
The 3D printer is reservable
Original Prusa i3 MK3S is also available at Central.
All ideaLABs provide free PLA material for printing and 3D Modeling software. Please refer to the guide for design and policies.
Glowforge Pro Laser Cutter
The laser cutter is reservable
Please refer to the guide for design, approved materials, and policies.
Recording Studio
The recording studio can be reserved for up to 3 people.
Instruments available:
- Acoustic & Electric Guitar
- Bass Guitar
There is an additional station for music editing outside of the recording studio with an AKAI Professional MPK Mini MIDI Keyboard, GarageBand and Logic Pro software, and headphones.
