The Sam Gary Branch Library ideaLAB is open year-round for drop in hours, five days a week. Some tools require a reservation, see below for details.
Our open lab hours are:
- Tuesday & Thursday: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Friday - Saturday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Closed Sunday & Monday
Available Equipment
For specialized equipment like 3D printers, laser cutters, and the recording studio- we recommend calling ahead to reserve your time slot. Users must have a Denver Public Library card to make a reservation. Reservations are limited to 2 hours, once per week, to ensure equitable access.

Bambu Lab P2S 3D Printer
The 3D printer is reservable
All ideaLABs provide free PLA material for printing and 3D Modeling software. Please refer to the guide for design and policies.
Glowforge Pro Laser Cutter
The laser cutter is reservable

Recording Studio
The recording studio is reservable for up to 3 people.
