Program Description

Event Details

Memory Cafe is a fun place to socialize, relax, and engage with people experiencing memory loss and their families/caregivers. Each cafe has a focus—such as music or art—to facilitate the main goal, which is a social connection for individuals with shared experiences. At the Memory Cafe, you can just be yourself -- without worrying about remembering or forgetting.

Theme: Sage Singers

Description: Celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride with the Sage Singers, the first LGBTQIA+ chorus for older adults in the nation (www.sagesingers.org). Founded in 2018 by Judith Nelson and guided by Artistic Director, Keith Arnold, the chorus’ mission is to celebrate the lives of LGBTQIA+ elders through story and song, and to serve and engage the public by sharing their music. Come enjoy inspiring music and sing along to some old favorites with the Sage Singers!

This program will be held in person at the Virginia Village Library
